You have to do a little destruction before construction! Definitely one of the best parts of renovating any of the Cherry Hill fixer uppers is the demolition process. Not only do you get to destroy things without doing harm but you also get a great workout. The initial demo phase is where we just go in and start knocking down walls, pulling old flooring, gutting kitchens and baths, etc. Once this phase is done we will usually uncover any issues with the house we were not aware of. Luckily this home has been very well maintained, all of the substructure is solid and there is no evidence of water intrusion in the bathrooms or basement. This is also the phase where we get to see our layout start to take shape. Walls are down and rooms are opened up. We have to make a couple of adjustments, the kitchen layout where we are bumping out the wall and how we are going to handle moving the stack for the new location of the toilet in the master suite. Other than that everything is going according to plan. A couple of pictures and video are below for you to see the updates.
